Domestic ventilation in Wellingborough
Extractor fans and ventilation for bathrooms, kitchens and utility rooms — wired, fitted and certified by a Part P registered electrician.
Domestic Ventilation
Where the damp comes from
Black mould in the corner of a bathroom ceiling is usually not a damp problem. It is a ventilation problem — a fan that is undersized, badly sited, ducted into a loft instead of outside, or not running long enough after the room is used.
We install and replace extractor fans and ventilation for bathrooms, kitchens and utility rooms across Wellingborough and Northamptonshire, wired on a proper circuit and fitted so the air actually leaves the building.
Because ventilation in a bathroom is electrical work in a special location, it is notifiable. We are Part P registered and an NICEIC Domestic Installer, so the work is certified and registered properly.

Common questions
Your questions, answered
The questions we are asked most about domestic ventilation work. If yours isn't here, just ask — we don't charge for straight answers.
-
Is fitting a bathroom extractor fan notifiable work?
Electrical work in a bathroom is in a special location and is generally notifiable under Part P. We are Part P registered and an NICEIC Domestic Installer, so the work is certified and registered rather than left undocumented.
-
Why does my bathroom still get damp with a fan fitted?
Usually because the fan is undersized for the room, badly sited, not running for long enough after use, or ducted into a loft rather than outside. Those are the things we check before recommending a replacement.
-
Can you fit a fan with a timer or humidity sensor?
Yes. Overrun timers and humidity-sensing controls are common on bathroom and utility installations so the fan keeps running until the moisture has actually gone.
-
Can you replace a fan I already have?
Yes. Replacing a noisy, failed or undersized fan is straightforward work, and we will tell you if the existing wiring and ducting are suitable or need putting right at the same time.
-
Do you cover my area?
